World Whiskey Day

These classic whiskey recipes from two of our favorite cookbooks: The Ultimate Cocktail Encyclopedia and Fried Chicken & Friends: The Hartsyard Family Cookbook, are both surefire ways to celebrate World Whiskey Day, May 20th!

How will you celebrate this year?


 

2 oz bourbon
1 tsp superfine sugar
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 orange slices
2 maraschino cherries
Club soda (or plain water)

50 ml (1 1/2 fl oz) whiskey (we prefer a bourbon such as Maker's Mark)
50 ml (1 1/2 fl oz) lemon juice
15 ml (1/2 fl oz) simple syrup
15 ml (1/2 fl oz) egg white
1 dash of Angostura bitters
ice cubes
1 morello cherry, to garnish
1 lemon slice, to garnish
